Over the past 2 years the Salt Lake City Transportation Division has heard from thousands of residents about their needs and preferences for walking and bicycling in Salt Lake City. We are pleased to provide a Draft of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Update for public review and comment. The Draft Plan is the culmination of public engagement, technical analysis, and synthesis of ideas that outlines actions and programs for active transportation,with a goal of making walking and bicycling comfortable for people of all ages and abilities. The Plan also highlights extensive opportunities to develop a connected and comfortable urban trails network through numerous neighborhoods of the City.
We welcome your input on this Plan as we continue to customize future actions to the needs of our residents. Public comment is open until December 29th. The more information about the plan is available at www.walkbikeslc.com. A hard copy of the plan is also available for review at the Salt Lake City Transportation Division during regular business hours, 349 South 200 East, Suite 150, (801) 535-6630.
