The City is seeking your review and comments on elements of the renewal package for the renewal of the City's stormwater program permit.
The stormwater sewer system in the City of Lake Oswego discharges the City’s stormwater runoff into local creeks and rivers. These discharges are regulated and covered by a permit that is issued by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The current permit was issued in March of 2012 and expires March 1, 2017. The City is required to submit a permit renewal application package for DEQ to renew the permit for another five year permit term.
The permit renewal package consists of four elements. The City requested comments on the first element of our permit renewal package, our monitoring Plan, beginning in late December 2016. The City requested comments on the revised Stormwater Management Plan and Benchmarks in mid-January, 2017.
Now, we want your comments about the final element of the permit renewal package:
- The remaining package elements include program assessments (functional and fiscal) and estimates of future pollutant loading from the City’s MS4 system based on anticipated capital projects and expansions to the City system.
A copy of these documents, along with additional background on the MS4 permit and a schedule of staff presentations on the permit renewal package, are all available on the City’s Surface Water website.
Please use this Open City Hall forum to provide comments on these documents. If you have comments on a specific document, please indicate what document you are referring to and, if appropriate, a page number.
