What do you think about the City's existing tree removal and tree protection regulations? What are your ideas on how the City can help the community maintain a healthy urban forest?
For 2015, the Lake Oswego City Council adopted the goal to “Convene a community dialog on the tree code to identify better ways to meet the intent of the code while responding to residents’ desire for less stringent regulation” and to “review the tree code overall.”
This month the Council and community leaders will be hosting an Urban Forestry Summit to review the existing tree code, discuss the many dimensions of the issue of tree regulation, and facilitate group discussions to generate and discuss ideas on how we can meet the goals of a healthy urban forest.
