What are your experiences with parking in Lake Grove? What ideas do you have for managing parking in the Lake Grove Village Center?
What are your thoughts and experiences regarding parking in the Lake Grove Village Center?
The City received a grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation for working with community stakeholders to develop a parking management plan for the Lake Grove Village Center. The parking plan is one of the key measures for implementing the Lake Grove Village Center Plan, which was adopted by the City Council in 2008 after many years of work by the community. The Village Center Plan provides a framework and outlines implementation measures to achieve the community’s vision for a welcoming, mixed-use, and pedestrian-friendly neighborhood community in Lake Grove.
The major goals of the Parking Plan project includes working with the community to study the parking issues and identify strategies for managing parking in the District, ensuring no net loss of parking resulting from the Boones Ferry Road Improvement Project, and locating three potential locations for public parking facilities. The Parking Plan will also incorporate, where possible, future changes in demand and opportunities for alternative modes of transportation as redevelopment occurs and as the Boones Ferry Road Project is completed with features such as bike lanes and improved pedestrian amenities.
