Our property at 839 Santa Cruz Drive has been cleared of Debris. When will we receive the results from the soil check?

You can continue to check the map here: https://stories.opengov.com/reddingca/published/L159iXVa1 to see what part of the process your home is currently in. Soil testing to final approval could take up to 2 weeks. If it has taken longer than that, feel free to visit the DROC for more information.

I was pleased from the quick and supportive response we received from the City Manager's Office. It was more comprehensive and empathic than the excerpt presented here. The City has competently taken the responsibility of facilitating the communication between the fire victims and Cal OES, Cal Recycle and the Debris Removal Operations Center. What surprises me now is the length of time for the other agencies involved to do the soils analysis. It took only two days to clear my property of a 2900 square foot structure and haul the debris away. It has been two weeks since the work on our property was completed and we still have not received the completion certificate. Any progress we want to make is now on hold until we receive the certificate.
