Can I stay in the pile of burnt rubble that was my home? Looters have already taken things out of my property. So who is watching out for us that have nothing left? And what if I might not want to live there,do I have to rebuild.?

DTSC will begin removing household hazardous waste this week, with CalRecycle continuing with debris removal shortly thereafter. Both organizations, or outside contractor you hire if you decide to go that route, will operate under the assumption that all the debris left on the home site is to be removed and disposed of. If you have personal effects still on the property that you want to find, you'll need to find a way to look for them as soon as possible. On a side note, our law enforcement officers are still patrolling neighborhoods and keeping an eye out for, and arresting, individuals wishing to do harm.

Thank you for all you are doing. Also I would like to thank the helicopter pilot that flew over my house. As I looked up to see this huge whirling mass of clouds and flames behind ,and flames flying in the air, this helicopter appeared and I heard him say "get out now. " I want to thank him for saving my life, and my roommates.
