Do you have additional thoughts you would like to share? Sandpoint is an outdoor town, anything you can help to create to foster this ethos will go far in the health and well-being of its citizens. People love getting outside on trails and pathways all winter too. Work to keep connectivity in all four seasons and to add to our ability to get outside in winter (ie. Skating/hockey rink, covered skate park?, nordic ski access). And think about expansion of recreational opportunities in the summer and shoulder seasons that capture the use of our main asset - the lake!

Do you have additional thoughts you would like to share? I would prefer the funds be used for infrastructure such as sidewalk, street repairs, work force housing initiatives. We already have beautiful parks and open spaces in Sandpoint. I would not want the waterfront in downtown to be encroached upon.Your decisions need to be based on the needs of the people who live here year round and who contribute to the community

Do you have additional thoughts you would like to share? It seems that the desires of city's staff are put ahead of community wants. Such as artificial turf over grass. Please be respectful to the citizens. There is much talk about this being a tourist town, but remember it was a town before tourists and continues as a town when they are gone. We need to take care of the people who live and work here year round. The summer of 2020 was not a pleasant one in Sandpoint. The people who came to town rude and uncaring about our service people. Also they showed little concern for our community's health. Put the Sandpoint community ahead of tourism. Thank you.

Do you have additional thoughts you would like to share? I appreciate long term thinking and planning! And off subject: Boyer Ave w/the new development is going to be a hot mess traffic-wise. There should be a roundabout OR 3 lanes (a middle turn lane) on Boyer at that location. Thank you.

Do you have additional thoughts you would like to share? An indoor recreation facility with a full size indoor ice rink is by far the biggest parks and recreation need for this community. An indoor ice rink provides more heathy wintertime recreation options for our kids, at the same time providing additional economic benefits to our community businesses during the winter season.

Do you have additional thoughts you would like to share? Somehow, out of town visitors need to “chip-in” by paying for parking at city beach for example. I lease a boat slip and often can’t find a parking spot in high season. I also think the county should pitch in to finance a part of the master plan.
