What are your thoughts about Sandpoint's existing sidewalk and pathway infrastructure and walkability?
SANDPOINT SIDEWALK AND WALKABILITY SURVEY:
The City of Sandpoint is undertaking a Sidewalk and Pathways Master Planning effort that is expected to last just over a year. This master plan was identified as a strategic priority by the City Council to achieve all five of it's establlished strategic goals:
- Responsive Government
- Resilient Economy
- Sustainable Environment
- Vibrant Culture; and
- Livable Community
The purpose of this initial survey is to gain a better understanding of people's experience using the existing Sandpoint sidewalks and pathways infrastructure and the walkabilty of our community.
Our definition of walking includes mobility for all people -- people of any age, people who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices, and people with visual, hearing or other impairments.
There will be a future survey on biking and bikability as well.
