At the Tri-Cities Council meeting on Wednesday, March 6, at 7pm, at the Lafayette Library & Learning Center, the Lafayette City Council, the Moraga Town Council, and the Orinda City Council will hear an update on the CASA Compact, the Committee to House the Bay Area, from Metropolitan Transportation Commission Deputy Executive Director Bradford Paul and Planning Director Ken Kirkey. The CASA Compact offers recommendations to address the Bay Area’s housing shortage and many or all of these recommendations could find their way into bills that will be introduced by the Legislature in 2019 and beyond. The Compact’s recommendations will influence the way cities develop in the future and therefore it’s important to understand the impacts on Lamorinda.
