Tell us what you want in a playground at Kiwanis Park!
We are replacing the playground in Kiwanis Park and we want your help! Share what you (and your kids!) would like to see in the playground by filling out our survey by May 31.
Your input will help us understand what elements you would like to see in the playground so that designs can be developed this summer. We'll come back to you later in the summer with design proposals so that you can tell us which one you prefer. Staff will also evaluate the designs to make sure that they meet our standards for safety, for example.
The current playground will stay open all summer, and we're set to open the new playground in the spring of 2019.
About Kiwanis Park
Kiwanis Park is a destination park that serves the city and beyond. On the banks of the Grand River, it is is a true treasure - and a great place to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. The park provides quick access to the Walter Bean Trail and the Grand River - a perfect place for hiking, biking, fishing and canoeing.
In 2017, the park closed for renovations to its pool, and now it’s ready to reopen in June. The community and our partners played an important role in the changes to this fantastic park.
Now, we’re renovating the playground as the last piece of the changes to the park.
