8. Do you have any other comments about future updates and improvements for the streetscape in Dundarave Village?
Those parts of the streetscape where seating and tables associated with restaurants, coffee shops, view corridors are prized along with irregular, unique, charming, relatively small and distinct, village-like storefronts with an array of entrepreuners presenting unique, local businesses. That is the unique Dundarave Village that needs to be preserved and strengthened through both streetscape and in areas that will be redeveloped over the next decade. Link increased sidewalk width to cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, shaded areas, view corridors. Incentivise business owners to ensure there properties are well cared for and presented.

Dont increse the width of the sidewalks- they are fine as is and the last thing you need is to cut down on the car traffic lanes!! Most people who visit can not walk or cycle here -they have to drive and If you have to decrease the traffic lanes to widen the sidewalks, it will just create a bottleneck. By decreasing car traffic capacity you will make it less desireable for people to come to the area.

Make sure new planting’s don’t get so large and overtake the sidewalks. Keep the small village feel. DON’T build higher than it is now!!

I love it because it doesn’t have the very disruptive and noisy Harmony Arts Festival, rock concerts, and other large gatherings which create traffic and parking mayhem for the local residents. So don’t spoil it with large festivals or concerts.
