What you think about the proposed traffic calming design options for Kings Avenue between 12th and 9th Street?
Residents in the neighbourhood around Kings Avenue (between 12th and 9th Street) have voiced concerns about traffic and cyclist safety issues. District of West Vancouver staff recognize the need for traffic calming improvement in this area.
In September 2017, the District hosted an open house and launched a survey to collect feedback on proposed traffic calming designs. The results of this consultation revealed requests for speed humps, which were not permitted in West Vancouver at that time.
Now equipped with a Vertical Deflection and Speed Humps Policy, the District has drafted a new traffic calming design for Kings Avenue between 12th and 9th Street.
