We want your comments on recommendations to help restore and protect Bear Creek.
The Bear Creek watershed covers 26 square miles and is important to many Pacific Northwest species. It is also home to nearly 10,000 households, and its population is forecast to grow by approximately 20 percent in the next 24 years. Nearly all the stormwater facilities within the watershed are aging and don’t meet current standards.
We are seeking comments on the draft watershed management study and about King County’s recommendations to protect and restore the Bear Creek watershed over the long term, and a focused 10-year effort in five high-priority areas.
The draft study is available for review at kingcounty.gov/bearcreekstudy.
The final document will be submitted to the Washington State Department of Ecology on April 4, 2018.
