Help us understand how you currently get around the SR-520 corridor so we can make the best improvements to our transit system.
Metro and Sound Transit want your input on transit service in the State Route 520 corridor.
This includes routes 252, 255, 257, 268, 277, 311, ST 540, ST 541 ST 542, ST 545, ST 555, ST 556.
Most of these routes connect Eastside communities to downtown Seattle. Downtown Seattle is experiencing rapid job and population growth and many large projects are planned in the next few years that will impact the transportation network and increase travel times for these routes.
Metro and Sound Transit are considering changes to improve service and ensure that transit between Eastside and downtown Seattle continues to be an attractive option for riders. Your input will inform us as we look at possible changes such as:
- Re-orienting routes to the University of Washington Link light rail station to connect riders to a fast (6 minutes to Westlake Station) and reliable trip downtown.
- Reinvesting saved resources back into these routes to improve frequency, reduce crowding, or provide service later or earlier or on weekends,
- Providing new commuter service across SR-520 to connect Eastside communities to South Lake Union.
