Due to recent changes made by Montgomery County in response to COVID-19, restaurants can now deliver alcohol with take-out food orders.
The Picnic in the Park program encourages park visitors to enjoy delivery and outdoor dining in nine area parks. Montgomery Parks recently issued a Park Directive that temporarily suspends the prohibition on alcohol in these nine parks to allow patrons, 21 years of age and older, to legally consume alcohol within designated areas and between the hours of 11 a.m. to dusk. The pilot program started Thursday, September 24, and runs through Monday, May 31, 2021, with an option to extend the pilot for one more year.
