Why do we have this focus on “growing” Provo? Who does “growing Provo” benefit? Can’t we say we have enough residents and Provo is big enough already?
The answers of course are that this focus benefits builders, real estate professionals, and big businesses. However, this focus hurts current residents with increased crime, congestion, and a changed culture. If you think Provo is a great place then stop focusing on changing it.
There is plenty of empty land around Utah County for someone to start a new city. We don’t need to expand Provo like Lehi has. Takes your lust for more and more money to some new city and let Provo focus on being a great city for its current residents.
Leave the current Annexation rules in place so we don’t keep feeding the big business developers!
