Forrest Phillips requests a Zone Change from Residential Conservation (RC) to Low Density Residential (LDR) for property located at 845 W and 849 W 2000 N in the Carterville Neighborhood. This is to facilitate a single-family attached townhome project consisting of two buildings containing two units each. Each unit has three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, individual fenced rear yards, and landscaped front yards that will be maintained by the homeowner's association. An existing detached home will be added onto, making it a 3 bedroom, two bathroom home and will be included as a fifth townhome in the project. The exterior design of each unit will be substantially different from its attached neighbor, allowing for distinction of each home. Each home will include a single car garage and space for two cars in its driveway. The community includes four off-street guest parking spaces.
The neighborhood meeting scheduled for February 1 was postponed by the applicant. The application has been under review of various Provo City departments and has not yet been scheduled for a Planning Commission hearing. Because it is a zone change, it will also need to be heard by the Provo City Council.
