What should the City Council consider when developing cannabis regulations?
The City of Berkeley is developing regulations to account for all the potential uses and issues in an environment where both medicinal and adult use cannabis is cultivated, distributed, manufactured, tested and sold.
Staff will be presenting Council on October 9 with several significant issues to discuss that will guide an eventual ordinance. Though the City Council will not be taking a vote that night, they will be considering several key issues that will influence Berkeley’s cannabis regulations. They include: quotas, buffers, permitting process and equity.
