Share your priorities for the Strategic Plan
We want to make our great city even better, and we’d like your input to help us do that.
City staff developed 11 draft goals that reflect important community values. Your input on the goals will help the City to design a strategic plan that drives City priorities for improving our service to the community.
These values already shape the City’s work. Through the survey questions, we hope to get more guidance about the levels of importance they hold for Berkeleyans as a whole. Staff will then use that to design City services and develop outreach to the community.
“For our services to have the greatest impact, they have to reflect the values and needs of the community,” said City Manager Dee Williams-Ridley.
What are the most important issues facing the Berkeley community? How should the City government articulate its long-term goals and prioritize limited time and resources on the programs, services or issues that matter most to you? These are some of the questions that this survey will help us answer.
The survey should take about 10 minutes. After you complete it, please also forward it to your friends, family, and colleagues. The more input we get from community members, the better.
This survey has two brief parts. Those who register for our online forum can post their responses publicly and choose between a public or anonymous identity. Your email address won’t be shared with anyone, as per the privacy agreement of our vendor, Peak Democracy. Those who don’t register can still provide input that will be seen by staff. The survey closes on February 28.
You can learn more about the Strategic Plan at a Special City Council Worksession on Jan. 31.
