We were able to enjoy eating outside at Molasses on New Year's Eve 2020 since they had the "igloos" with heat inside, so being outside really just depends on what each of the vendors are willing to do - I'm willing to sit outside with a heater and enjoy.

17) Please provide any additional feedback you have regarding the 2021 Pedestrian Plazas or thoughts about the future of the Pedestrian Plazas in 2022: I tend to avoid that area quite honestly as I drive down town because it doesn't allow me to drive my car on the street. Most of my shopping downtown is restricted to either end, Ace Hardware or Cafe Zinc.

I really enjoyed the plaza, and do not think it hindered vehicle traffic enough to close it. I actually really wish it was year round. It made the downtown experience A LOT better.

It really didn’t affect that many parking spots. You could have a winter fest, kids events, Outdoor ice sculpture events, ice bar, kids snowman making events. Pile some snow up from plowing events and have little kid sledding hills. The possibilities are endless and I love the pedestrian area and outdoor drinking commons area.

I think the street closure is too long and it should have ended sooner., When the days/evenings start to get darker earlier or below a certain temperature regularly, I think it's too uncomfortable for outdoor activities.

I think that the plaza contributed to increased sales, but also attribute the increase to relaxing of Covid 19 restrictions. I hope to see it continue in 2022, but end when public schools open.
