I agree that just calling it "Sturgeon" isn't right. Since there is a lot of city land along the river that has been designated 'Park' for the last 40+ years, then Sturgeon Park or Sturgeon Parkway would sound nice and would reflect the neighborhood.. Other wise Sturgeon Creek works too.

I tell out of town folks that I live just north of the Circle Area. Our neighborhood is shown in the Crescent Meadowbrook section, but I don't feel any connection to the neighborhoods west of N. Saginaw Road. I would call our part of this map the West Meadowbrook/Wyndemere Neighborhood, and call the area West of N. Saginaw Road the Crescent/North Parkway Neighborhood.

Except for the people who live along Foster Road, not many people would understand the Foster Woods name. And Foster Woods has now been developed into a subdivision, so the woods is no longer there. The area being described has Kaufman Park at its center, which many people in the area use. Kaufman Park seems very reasonable to me.

I live in this section and we refer to it as living by Kaufman Park. It makes sense and works.

My neighborhood is defined more by the people I know within walking distance of my home, rather than by someone else drawing lines on a map. Some of the area names seem to make a historical sense - Chestnut Hill as an example. Others make no sense at all to me. The purpose of this exercise is lost on me. Assigning names seems to be a way to differentiate areas -better/worse richer/poorer, etc. Why do we need to do that? Midland is not so large that we need 30 some named areas. What's the point? You have a Midland High area, but not a Dow High one? That will go ever well I'm sure.

I live in the Chesnuthill neighborhood on Sweetbrier so the name you gave is what we have always called our neighborhood. We wonder though how our friends across Ashman who are still Chesnuthill families will feel. I hope they take the survey to let you know.

Here (and in other quadrants) there are some notable annotation omissions: Dow HS, Delta College Midland Campus, Creative 360, Soccer Complex, Loons Stadium/Dow name a few. Seems arbitrary that the map includes some while omitting others no less noteworthy to our community.

We have lived in the area bound by Saginaw, Eastman, Sugnet and Orchard for decades. We have always called it The Gardens subdivision, not "Garden Park", although there is a park in the center (as is the case with many other other subdivisions). I would prefer the map reflect this slight name change...

I live in the 'St. Andrews' neighborhood. Considering the comments given to date, I'd propose:
* 'Country Club' neighborhood bounded by Eastman, Sugnet, Saginaw, Helen / Manor
* Combine 'Carpenter' and the portion of 'St. Andrews' south / southeast of the Helen / Manor line into 'Midtown'
* Use 'South Saginaw Road Corridor' for the neighborhood proposed as 'Center City'

I live in the Woodcrest neighborhood. I agree with the name and with the boundary.
