Share your input on Downtown Midland's 2021 Pedestrian Plazas

Did you visit Downtown Midland this summer? If so, you may have experienced the Pedestrian Plazas: two pedestrian-only blocks of Main Street from Ashman to Rodd closed completely to cars. Initially developed as a way to allow for expanded safe shopping, dining, and social distanced entertainment during the COVID-19 pandemic in 202, they were so popular that we brought them back again in 2021! This year, Downtown Midland added The Commons: A space in which alcoholic beverages could be purchased from participating businesses and consumed outdoors in a defined “common” area.

At this time, we're planning for the future of these amenities into 2022 and beyond - but the long-term future of these initiatives is up to you! We need the community's feedback: what you loved, what you didn't love, what you'd change, and more.

Please take this survey from the perspective of a visitor or customer of Downtown Midland. Survey takers can remain anonymous if desired, but being able to see how your friends and neighbors feel about the closure is good for community dialogue.

Feedback will be utilized by the Downtown Development Authority, Midland Downtown Business Association, City staff, and the Midland City Council to make decisions on the 2022 Downtown Midland pedestrian plazas and The Commons area.

The deadline to participate in this survey is Monday, October 18 at 5 p.m. Click the button below to start sharing your feedback.
