Please comment on the following considerations for neighborhood-compatible, small-scale residential infill development.
To address the housing shortage, at the request of City Council, the City’s Department of Planning and Urban Design has reviewed the City’s residential zoning standards contained within the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). Staff has identified opportunities to remove barriers to allow more small-scale residential infill in order to help meet the city’s housing needs while maintaining the character of residential districts.
At its Feb. 23, 2016, meeting, City Council authorized staff to develop considerations and gather public input on potential changes. Public input is now open and will inform staff’s development of UDO amendments for Council’s consideration.
Draft UDO amendments are expected to be presented to City Council in the fall of 2016. Please provide your input on the following considerations in the survey below.
