Community Health Protection Program Overview
In response to Assembly Bill 617, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District has developed a new Community Health Protection Program to benefit communities most directly affected by air pollution. The Community Health Protection Program will be a community-driven, transparent process that builds capacity in communities to reduce emissions and exposure to air pollution.
The first step in this process is for the Air District to identify potential communities for the program and share them with the California Air Resources Board by April 30, 2018. In this brief survey you will be able to weigh in on the initial criteria the Air District is proposing to identify communities and provide input on additional communities to consider for participation in the Community Health Protection Program.
