The Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the proposed In-N-Out Burger project located at the former Elephant Bar site (499 E. Hamilton Avenue) is now available for public review and comment. The DEIR may be viewed at City Hall (Planning Division Counter) and the Campbell Library during normal business hours, as well as online (Note: 50 MB file).

The City will accept comment on the DEIR during the 45-day public comment period, which will begin on February 13, 2019 and conclude on April 1, 2019 at 5:00 PM. Comments on the DIER may be emailed to Daniel Fama, Senior Planner at danielf@cityofcampbell.com. When emailing, please use the subject title of "In-N-Out Burger Project EIR". PLEASE NOTE: Comments left on the community forum will not be considered as part of the DEIR comment review. However, these comments will be provided to the Planning Commission prior to formal consideration of the project. 

A Planning Commission public hearing to accept verbal comments has also been scheduled for February 26, 2019 at or after 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers (70 North First Street, Campbell, CA 95008). Public agencies, organizations, and interested members of the public are invited to attend this meeting and provide verbal or written comments on the proposed project.

A public Scoping Meeting will be held with the Planning Commission on July 24, 2018 at or after 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers (70 North First Street, Campbell, CA 95008) to discuss the proposed In-N-Out Burger project at 499 E. Hamilton Avenue (former Elephant Bar location). Public agencies, organizations, and interested members of the public are invited to attend this meeting and provide verbal or written comments on the proposed project.

A 30-day Notice of Preparation (NOP) public comment period will begin on July 11th and conclude on August 10th. If you wish to comment during the NOP comment period, or if you cannot attend the scoping meeting, the City will accept written comments until the close of the NOP comment period. Comments on the NOP are due no later than the close of the 30-day review period at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018. Please send all written comments to Daniel Fama, Senior Planner, City of Campbell, 70 N First Street, Campbell, CA 95008, or by email to danielf@cityofcampbell.com with “In-N-Out Burger Project EIR” as the subject.

A "study session” meeting with the Planning Commission for an in-progress update of the In-N-Out Burger project (former Elephant Bar site on Hamilton Avenue) will be held on April 24th at 7:30 PM, in the City Council Chambers, Campbell City Hall, 70 N First Street, Campbell, CA 95008. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to provide comment on the project, however, no decision will be made.
