Please leave your final comments on the McMillan Mesa Management chapter before January 10th, 2020.
In 2016, Flagstaff voters ensured that McMillan Mesa was preserved as open space. From April through September of 2018, the community provided input on how they thought the natural area should be managed and protected. The new management section was developed to reflect the feedback from this public survey. Open Space staff went to City Council on November 19th, 2019, to give an update on the McMillan Mesa Management chapter and ask for input before adopting it for inclusion in the Legally Designated Open Space Management Plan. The current PDF file of the management chapter is available for public review and comment. Open Space staff will go back to City Council in February of 2020 with final revisions of the chapter. City Council will be asked to adopt the chapter for inclusion in the Legally Designated Open Space Management Plan at this time. Please leave your final comments before January 10th, 2020.
