What did you think of the bike share pilot program?
Flagstaff's six month bike share pilot ended in mid-October.
What we have learned:
In the six months of the pilot, nearly 13,000 miles were ridden on 200 bikes distributed throughout the community. Many of these bike rides replaced car trips, reducing traffic and demand for parking.
An initial public survey was conducted during the pilot program to help the City learn how community members were using bike share. We discovered that most survey takers enjoyed bike share and thought it was a useful transportation option for Flagstaff. Concerns included the dispersal of the bikes in public spaces.
Please take a moment to complete this short survey to tell us about your experience with bike share over the six-month pilot program. The City is partnering with NAU to develop a Request for Proposals to bike share vendors, that can work closely with the city and NAU to create a bike share program that provides a citywide, affordable and convenient transportation service to Flagstaff residents and visitors.
