DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
Application PL-18-0296: A request for a major amendment to the Parkside Village Planned Area Development (PAD) zoning. The property is approximately 163 gross acres located at the southwest corner of Indian School Road and 99th Avenue. The current PAD zoning allows for a mix of uses, including single-family detached homes, attached townhomes, apartments, retail/commercial, and office. The amendment, if approved, will reconfigure open space within the proposed development, modify single-family residential lot sizes and housing product types, modify development and design standards, and revise project phasing.
The project is currently in review by the City’s Development Review Team. A neighborhood meeting, to give all interested property owners a chance to learn more about the proposal and ask questions of the applicant and City staff, will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:00 PM. The neighborhood meeting will be held in the Library at Rio Vista Elementary School, 10237 W. Encanto Boulevard. All are welcome to attend to learn more! PLEASE NOTE, THE JUNE 4, 2019 MEETING REPLACES THE PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED MAY 23, 2019 MEETING, WHICH HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Once the proposal has been revised to address the City’s review comments, the items will be scheduled for Planning Commission and City Council public hearings. All property owners within 1,000 feet of the subject site will be notified of these meetings via mailing. Additionally, all meetings will be advertised by a sign on the property and legal advertisements in the Arizona Republic. This page will be updated with dates for those meetings when they are determined.
