What programs would you like to see offered through Davidson Parks and Recreation?
The Town of Davidson wants your feedback to improve our current recreation program offerings.
The Town of Davidson Parks and Recreation Department strives to promote holistic healthy living through the seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, environmental, social, spiritual, and occupational.
Davidson Parks and Recreation offers programs for adults, families, and children. A variety of free programs, community activities, and special events are also offered through the department.
Programs for adults include watercolor painting, chair caning, wellness workshops, gardening classes, indoor rowing, and day trips. Free programs include lessons on composting, Gatekeeper QPR (Questions, Persuade, Refer), hands-only citizen CPR, Senior Social Hour, and Senior Scholars lectures.
A variety of programs for children are also available, including Adventurer Club and Tennis Tykes for preschoolers and a Red Cross Babysitter Training for older children. School-age children can participate in our after-school programs such as Science Club, Tennis, and Beginner Lacrosse, as well as sewing, softball, bike clinics, and basketball. Summer camps are offered for children from preschool through the teenage years.
Some programs are offered through special partnerships, such as Stargazing at Fisher Farm, Juggle for All, Lake Norman Teen Council, and DavidsonLearns courses. Monthly hikes, community bike rides, and a Fisher Farm Campout are open to adults and families.
