This change is simply a vanity address desired by special interests that seem to get what they want, but it will hurt other smaller businesses. The "consistency" and "confusion" arguments are clearly refuted by over 50 years of the Sepulveda/PCH change at the Hermosa border, as well as modern gps nav systems. The "prestige" argument often claims a financial benefit that is unsubstantiated, and would be minuscule at best. The "more fitting of a beach city" argument would suggest that we need to change Duncan, Peck, Dianthus, Rosecrans, etc., to "beachier" names. Preserve our history!
