What significant environmental concerns do you have regarding a specific project option? For each environmental concern, select the project options to which this concern relates.
What other significant environmental issues would you like to see addressed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR)?
The deteriorating quality of life for those who live along Mary and nearby. Already there is daily gridlock. This will only exacerbate the logjam.
Which section would you like to skip to?
Traffic volumes
Please explain the nature of your concern(s) regarding traffic volumes.
There is daily gridlock along Mary and nearby residential streets. People drive on the wrong side of the street as they approach Central Expressway.
Can you suggest other reasonable alternatives that would also achieve the project goals and avoid these impacts?
Stop the project. Maintain what we already have.
What mitigation measures would minimize these impacts?
Limit new high density housing and high rise office buildings.
Which section would you like to skip to?
Noise impacts
Please explain the nature of your concern(s) regarding noise impacts.
Additional traffic diminishes our quality of life by creating ambient noise and vibration. Big commercial trucks, idling vehicles at traffic controls, loud pipes and radios add to the problem. It is uncomfortable, nearly hostile, to walk around the neighborhood. Pedestrians' senses are assaulted.
Can you suggest other reasonable alternatives that would also achieve the project goals and avoid these impacts?
Limit traffic in the area. Maybe we need gated communities.
What mitigation measures would minimize these impacts?
Limit traffic and enforce noise ordinances.
Which section of questions would you like to skip to?
Other concerns / general comments
Please explain the nature of your other concern(s).
Limit additional high density housing. Eliminate power blowers and mowers completely. Let trash collection and the street sweepers begin at 8AM instead of 7AM. Our community has experienced too much growth with no benefit to the community. Taxes and fees continue to rise annually with no increase in benefit to the existing residents. What do we get for our money? Services have been reduced ( One is diverted to self-service in most government interactions.) while all the rates go up and congestion increases. Parking is a mess around the train station. Privacy is non-existent near the new buildings that offer views into backyards and bedrooms!
Can you suggest other reasonable alternatives that would also achieve the project goals and avoid these impacts?
Limit additional growth, build sound walls, plant more trees.
What mitigation measures would minimize these impacts?
Limit high density housing and high rise offices.
