With regard to proposed airport improvements what are your comments regarding noise, air quality, water resources and surface transportation?
If you have been following the airport improvements Environmental Assessment process you will know that for over a year-an-a-half we have been studying the possible environmental impacts of a proposed new airport terminal and runway shift and widening. We have held several public open house events along the way to collect your feedback and have worked closely with a Community Input Committee (CIC) every step of the way. We held the final public open house event on preliminary EA findings on January 19th in Aspen.
If you were unable to attend any of these public events, we invite you to give us feedback here.
We now have preliminary EA findings regarding potential environmental impacts on resources we know our community is most concerned about namely, air quality, noise, climate, water resources, socioeconomic and visual resources. Please take the time to review our findings by CLICKING HERE before giving us your feedback. We look forward to hearing from you!
Next steps include reviewing ALL public comment and releasing a draft EA with another public comment period as early as March 2017 followed by a formal Public Hearing with the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners.
