Thanks for giving us the chance to speak our minds. I would like to see the City of Tamarac to be not only the most "playful" city but also the most "GREEN" city in Broward County. That means 2 things: more shaded trees and more recycling bins in our popular parks. I often enjoy walking in our parks but also find it difficult to stay cool, especially in the middle of the summer. Planting more trees would definitely help. Recycling bins should be installed alongside with all other garbage cans. We have to teach and remind our children (and sometimes ourselves) to preserve the future of our planet by making such items available.

Tamarac has a lot of communities with cul de sacs (Sunflower and Heathgate, for example) Not just visitors, but residents are not mindful of the 25 MPH speed zone and drive way too fast in these resi areas.
***I would like to see speed bumps in these areas.***
I had read in the Sun Sentinel the housing taxes in Tamarac are rising due to "an increase in the value of homes, which means the city will collect $1.3 million more...."
"The increase will help fund numerous projects such as $1 million for a barrier wall project to act as a buffer between neighborhoods and busy streets; $280,000 for bus shelters and $650,000 to replace natural grass with artificial turf on a field at the Sports Complex."
A lot of yards in these resi areas are covered in weeds. There is not much to be done without killing everything and purchasing pallets of new grass which is expensive.
If the replacement of natural grass is an absolute necessity, I feel ***the current grass should be provided to residents who are looking to improve their yards.****

I would like to see bike trails throughout Tamarac. I don't like riding on the street. Florida drivers are not mindful of bikers on the road. I would like to be able to ride my bike for at least 10 miles, on a safe and scenic route! I visited Boulder, Colorado and they had so many bike routes where you didn't have to ride on the road with cars. We have great weather all year round and should be able to ride our bikes, daily, and safely!

1) I would be happy to see more children's parks. This would be encouraging for families where all can participate in outdoor activities.
2) I would enjoy seeing, if possible, a gaming center where local youth can gather for card games or board games.

I just moved in to Tamarac and my house is in front of the Sport Complex. I was a Plantation resident for more than 10 years and what I miss in the Sport Complex are trees. Plantation Central Park had a lots of trees. Trees provide shade and a greener and more pleasant look. Please plant more trees in the Sport Complex.

I support the comments already made suggesting shaded walkways with frequent benches to permit comfortable exercise for Tamarac's citizens, particularly seniors. Ample parking at such places would be desirable!

A splashpark for my visiting grandkids would be wonderful!

I would like to see a park with lots of nature trails for bikes, Cross fit programs in parks, water park for the kids due to tamarac going full circle and the families are getting younger buying in the area. More charter schools.
