How should the city regulation head shops?
Currently, head shops are allowed in the industrial and business districts, including downtown. Do you believe the city should continue to allow head shops in all of these areas or limit them to only certain districts? If so, which districts should they be allowed in (industrial and/or business)? Do you think they should be required to maintain a certain distance from schools? daycare centers? parks? other head shops?
What is a head shop?
A head shop is a retail establishment selling tobacco/marijuana paraphernalia. An example of products offered could be pipes, pipe screens; water pipes (bongs), cigarette/joint clips, vaporizers, rolling papers, rolling machines, scales, blacklight-responsive posters, candles, incense, cigarette lighters, etc.
The city is reviewing its regulations regarding these businesses and wants your input.
Outcome: under staff review
