In an effort to improve communication with its citizens and promote civic engagement, the City of Walla Walla has launched “Open City Hall” on its web site. This web portal will allow the City to obtain feedback outside of the traditional public meeting process. Citizens will be able to read what others are saying about important topics pertaining to the city of Walla Walla and post their own opinions. As with any public comment process, participation in Open City Hall is voluntary. City officials will review opinions posted here on the specific topics and take them into consideration in their decision-making process. We will also strive to post the outcomes of the decisions on these topics.
When you post your first statement, you will be asked for your name and home address. This confidential information is only used to identify the geographical areas from residents in and near Walla Walla.
Open City Hall is run by OpenGov, a non-partisan company whose mission is to broaden civic engagement and build public trust in government. They will keep your information confidential per their strict privacy agreement.
We hope you will choose to participate, and we thank you for helping us attain our vision “City of Walla Walla – the best of the best of the Northwest.”
