What new steps should be taken by the City of Sausalito and the Southern Marin Fire Protection District to reduce the risk of wildland fires?
The recent fires in the North Bay have caused many Sausalito residents to ask what more can be done to reduce the risk of wildland fire. The purpose of this survey is to gauge the level of community interest in a variety of educational and enforcement strategies.
This survey was prepared by the Southern Marin Fire Protection District at the direction of the Sausalito City Council. It went live on Friday, April 13, 2018, and will be available through Sunday, May 13, 2018.
The survey is being conducted in conjunction with the Ready Sausalito wildfire preparedness community meeting that was held at the Bay Model on April 14. If you were unable to attend, the FIREsafe Marin and Ready Marin websites are excellent sources of information about wildfire preparedness.
