Adopted West Highlands/Tulsa Hills Small Area Plan
UPDATED March 20, 2014:
TMAPC adopted the West Highlands/Tulsa Hills Small Area Plan by a vote of 7-0-0 on March 19, 2014. On April 24, 2014, City Council unanimously approved the plan, amending the Tulsa Comprehensive Plan.
Background
West Highlands/Tulsa Hills is a fast-growing area in the southwest corner of the City of Tulsa. This plan, which will amend the comprehensive plan when adopted, seeks to add predictability to the development process, to help preserve the area’s attractive characteristics and to identify what kinds of development are most appropriate for specific areas.
The planning process began in early 2012 when the City Council chose the plan area and defined its boundaries. Its extensive community engagement process included regular meetings with a citizens advisory team of key stakeholders that included business interests, area advocates, and neighborhood leaders.
