Original Introduction:
The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (TMAPC) invites your comments and questions on the proposed Eugene Field Small Area Plan.

Background
The Eugene Field Plan will seek to develop two key opportunities; the large number of working-age people living in close proximity to employment in this area; and the amenities within the neighborhood that have the potential to offer a high quality of life.
The Plan will seek ways to give area residents the skills they need to find skilled work. As important, the Plan will actively seek to improve housing conditions and options so that trained workers will have the option to stay in the neighborhood if they choose.
At the core of this initiative, the Community Action Project and private developers are seeking a $30 million grant from HUD to make Eugene Field a neighborhood of choice. The grant will help create educational opportunities for area residents and build mixed-income housing in the area.
