Fremont has been taking actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with the City’s Climate Action Plan—adopted in 2012—to achieve a 25% emissions reduction goal by the year 2020. These efforts have included actions within the sectors of waste, water, energy, and transportation.
