Please provide feedback for the City's Climate Action Plan update.
Fremont has been taking actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with the City’s Climate Action Plan—adopted in 2012—to achieve a 25% emissions reduction goal by the year 2020. These efforts have included actions within the sectors of waste, water, energy, and transportation.
Climate actions are focused on ways the City can:
- Encourage residents and businesses to reduce their carbon footprints,
- Collaborate with local organizations to deliver projects and programs,
- Advocate for environmental policies, and
- Adopt rules and regulations to require more sustainable practices.
Your answers to the following questions will help the City understand which climate solutions to prioritize, fund, and implement as we update the Climate Action Plan to align with our newest greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals of 55% by 2030 and 100% by 2045.
