The Citywide Streetcar Feasibility Study identifies seven potential lines where streetcar service would be feasible in Saint Paul, on East 7th Street, Grand Avenue, Payne Avenue, Rice Street, Robert Street, Selby Avenue, and West 7th Street.
The study recommends that a streetcar line from East 7th Street at Arcade to West 7th Street at Randolph be studied further as the first potential line in Saint Paul. The full documentation of the study can be found at www.stpaul.gov/streetcars.
A public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. on the Streetcar Feasibility Study recommendations. Open Houses will be held on January 15 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Fire Station 1, 645 Randolph Avenue, and on January 16 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Dayton's Bluff Recreation Center, 800 Conway Street.
