VPD Feedback - OIR Recommended Implementation Plan
Thank you for your interest in the future of policing in the City of Vallejo.
On Tuesday, June 16th, the OIR Group presented a third-party audit of the Vallejo Police Department (VPD). Their findings were shared, without redaction, for the Vallejo community to get the full picture of the challenges we are seeking to address in the VPD. Following the presentation, Chief of Police Shawny Williams presented his draft plan for implementing the recommendations by the third-party auditor that will help advance police services in the City of Vallejo.
Chief Williams noted that his plan was a draft, and he is looking for public feedback on the plan to ensure critical issues and points of timing have not been missed. Now you can share your thoughts, with full access to the documents that Chief Williams used to make his plans.
Read the document, then submit your ideas, concerns, and questions through our portal. This information will be directed to Chief Williams and his staff person who is aiding in gathering feedback from stakeholders so we can perfect the plan together - as a community.
