How would you like the City to spend CDBG and HOME Program funds over the next year?
The City estimates that it will receive $1,036,867 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds ($15,000 of which is projected program income), and $719,448 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds ($100,000 of which is projected program income), in Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-19.
Staff and a Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) Ad Hoc Committee recommend the following FY 2017-18 funding allocations:
CDBG Program Funding:
Permanent Supportive Housing Project ($669,625)
Program Administration ($207,373)
Social Services ($155,530)
HOME Program Funding:
First-Time Homebuyer Housing Development ($120,550)
Permanent Supportive Housing Project ($525,165)
Program Administration ($71,945)
The Action Plan, required by HUD, is a one year plan used for applying available funding to the community development and affordable housing needs identified in the City’s Five Year Consolidated Plan.

On Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 7:00 p. m. the HCDC will hold a public hearing during its regular meeting in the Vallejo Room (Lower floor of JFK Library, 505 Santa Clara Street) on the City’s Action Plan proposed for FY 2018-19, (July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019).
